JEFF WHITMILL
Director, St. Barnabas Center for the Arts

Composer, conductor, arranger, teacher, hornist, singer - Jeff Whitmill has been involved in music all his life. His mother, a gifted pianist, and his father, a creative mind of the first order, raised him in a home full of music. Some of his earliest memories are of playing in the back yard while listening to his mother play Chopin, Bach and Mozart.

Jeff has conducted - and written for - school music groups, community, church and corporate choirs and professional and community musical theatres. His compositions include 2 symphonies, 6 masses, 3 ballets and a men's choral work about salads.

In addition to his work with the new Center for the Arts, Jeff is also the church's Senior Choir Director.

He recently completed a major sacred work, MASS FOR JOB, which the Senior Choir premiered at a benefit concert for Mercy Corps on February 5, 2006.
