Through his recordings and published works STAN BANN's music has been heard, performed, and acclaimed worldwide.

Stan received a BA in Jazz Composition from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he was a soloist with the International Dues Band. He has studied trombone privately with such notables as Phil Wilson, Dave Steinmeyer, John Fedchock, and Conrad Herwig. He has studied composition and jazz theory with eleven-time Grammy nominee and educator Frank Mantooth, David Baker, Matt Harris, and others. He has conducted over 350 performances and clinics as leader of the Stan Bann Big Band.

As a performer Stan has appeared with the Temptations, Patti Page, Red Skelton (with whom he recorded), and other international acts. He has also appeared as a guest euphonium soloist with the MIT and Boston Conservatory Wind Ensembles.

As a composer Stan's work has been performed and/or recorded by such diverse groups as the USAF Airmen of Note, the Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis, the Medalist Concert Band, and the Minneapolis Trombone Choir. He has written several halftime shows for the University of Minnesota Marching Band, with whom he has also been a guest soloist. Stan's compositions are published through Walrus Music Publishing and Northmark Lab.
