Dennis Pollard originally from Louisville, KY where he went to High School at the Youth Performing Arts School. After graduation he received a music scholarship to attend Murray State University. While at Murray State, he performed in numerous ensembles as well as playing tuba with the Paducah Symphony.

After leaving Murray State, he came to Minnesota to attend Minnesota State Southeast Technical College in Red Wing, MN where he studied band instrument repair. Dennis is now an adjunct teacher at MSSTC and a sought-after brass technician at Davenport Instrument Repair located in the Schmitt Music store in Brooklyn Center.

Dennis began teaching private instrumental lessons over ten years ago. He has also taught Drum & Bugle Corps, Marching Bands (in numerous states), and in the Public Schools.

Along with teaching, he is a working musician. Dennis plays tuba, trombone, and baritone regularly with Lake Wobegan Brass Band, Bloomington Civic Theater and Ashland Productions. He also is a founding member of the Accent Brass Quintet which members have heard a few times at St. Barnabas.
