We proudly announce our summer jazz series
Jazz in July - four Thursday evenings of great jazz under the summer sky.
The programs are single-set offerings by some of the finest jazz artists in the Twin Cities. Admission is free, thanks to generous underwriting by area businesses. All programs begin at 7 pm and last 60-75 minutes.
Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and set up around our beautiful Rain Garden while you listen to some of the finest professional jazz musicians in the Twin Cities.
The 2009 series:

One of our biggest draws ever, Reuben Ristrom’s several decades of experience include night clubs, jazz festivals, concerts, shows, recording sessions, strolling ensembles, solo guitar or banjo, wedding music, funerals (incl. Jazz funerals) leading sing-alongs and more...
Thursday, July 16: SCOTT MOUNGER QUINTET. St. Barnabas's own professional jazz trumpeter/composer heads one of the Twin Cities' newest groups.
Thursday, July 23: THE SOMEWHAT DIXIELAND BAND WITH GUEST VOCALISTÂ LEE ENGELE. Standard Dixieland tunes along with ragtime and a few standards adapted to the Dixieland style, with one of the vocal stars of the Twin Cities jazz scene.
Thursday, July 30: PIGS EYE JASS BAND. Founded in 1961 at Sperry Univac by physicist Jim Torok, it's one of the oldest continuously operating traditional-jazz bands in Minnesota. Great New orleans sound.
