ST. BARNABAS RUMMAGE SALE - SATURDAY, AUGUST 14

The annual St. Barnabas Rummage Sale will be held Saturday, August 14, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is matching the first $1250 profit from the sale. The money will be used to fund several projects, including projects in the church building and grounds.

Many volunteers are needed to help with this ministry:

during the week (days or evenings) to arrange the items on tables and price them
people to work the sale on Saturday morning
someone to make lunch on Saturday for the workers
many more to come at 2 p.m. to clean up. Clean up means putting everything into large bags and boxes and getting the building ready for weekend worship. This typically takes about an hour when there is enough help.
A truck loading day on Tuesday, August 17, to send the sale leftovers to The Salvation Army.

If you can help in any of these ways, sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate your availability.

Donations may be dropped off starting Sunday, August 8, at 2 p.m. at the East Entrance only. Donations will be accepted only until Thursday, August 12, at 8 p.m. Please make arrangements for proper placement of large items with the volunteers present or talk to Julie in the office, 763-553- 1239.

As in the past, we can not accept

old computers, peripherals, or monitors, TVs
Mattresses of any kind.
any electronics (stereos, calculators, etc.) unless they fully work
curtain rods or blinds.
Please check with Julie Hoyme before bringing any large items, especially exercise equipment.

Please do not bring anything to the sale that you would not be willing to give to a good friend. We end up paying to throw away unacceptable items, which reduces the profit from the sale.
