REGENCY POINT COMMUNITY DINNERS

He works two part time jobs and is often last to eat because he just gets home from work before dinner is over. Her sister is unable to take care of her children, so although she is also single mom, she's raising her nephews too. English is still new to them, so their children translate the menu for them. An older lady exclaims over the beauty of the sliced tomatoes. Kids who've never had homemade banana pudding, are skeptical, but come back for more. These are some of the people who live at Plymouth Regency Pointe Apartments and attend the Community Dinners.

On the 4th Thursday of each month, St. Barnabas serves these dinners in cooperation with Interfaith Outreach. We prepare the food at St Barnabas then take it to the community room at nearby Regency Pointe where we serve from 5:30 to 6:30. Our biggest need for additional volunteers is transporting and serving the meal. We usually leave St Barnabas at 4:45 and are back and done with clean up by 7:30. If you are interested in this service project (you do not need to commit to every month) and would like to learn more, please contact Carolyn Mueller at 763 519-0515 or cmuellernew@comcast.net.
