Led by Director Jeff Whitmill, the Senior Choir sings alternately at the 9:00 and 10:30 worship services from the Sunday after Labor Day until around Trinity Sunday (a week after Pentecost, usually late May or early June). once in awhile we'll sing both services, and on Easter Sunday we sing all three (including the added 7:30 am service).

The Senior Choir includes singers from high school upward. Rehearsals are in the sanctuary Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:30 pm. Our door is always open to everyone; you don't need to be a member of St. Barnabas to sing with us. No audition is required - if you show up, we'll put some music in your hands. We're a happy group who enjoy singing together (and partying!). We'll always make room for you, whether you come for just an evening to check us out, or come and stay for a lifetime - and anything in between.

You needn't be a whiz at reading music to sing in the choir. We have a wide range of reading abilities, from words-only to expert sightsingers. Being able to carry a tune is pretty helpful, though.

The choir's repertoire is extensive, ranging from Medieval chants and Renaissance motets and masses to some of the latest contemporary works for choir. The ensemble is equally at home singing a cappella or with accompaniment - the latter often including woodwinds, brass, percussion or strings.
